Mevo Cameras

Logitech Mevo Start

The Mevo Start Camera is a wireless live-streaming camera that allows schools to broadcast high-quality video, making it an excellent tool for morning announcements. It features smart auto-tracking and multiple camera angles, which enhance the live-streaming experience. This camera system allows for easy event recording and live streaming, increasing accessibility and engagement. Schools can use this technology to enhance engagement in various school activities, such as ESSAC meetings, PTA meetings, faculty meetings, and student showcases.

A dedicated iPad and laptop are required for the Mevo Start cameras to function correctly within their dedicated network. These devices, along with an optional desktop, will be used to interact with the cameras. Contact your school site technician to have your devices installed into the dedicated Wi-Fi network.

OBS STUDIO MULTI-CAMERA SETUP

This setup facilitates multiple camera input feeds for screen recording and live streaming programs like OBS Studio. Hardwire multiple cameras to your computer to manage and live-stream their feeds using a program like OBS Studio. You can also wirelessly connect one Mevo camera at a time to your streaming program.

Desktop – Wireless Connection Option

To wirelessly connect a desktop to a Mevo camera, the desktop needs to be registered on the dedicated network used by the Mevo cameras. Please contact your school site technician to register your desktop on this network. Note that this network is separate from the school’s main network and will not provide access to shared folders. For file sharing, you can utilize Google Drive or OneDrive via their web interfaces.

Desktop – Direct Connection Option

Mevo cameras can also be connected directly to a desktop and used without having to be within the wireless network. This involves connecting the camera directly via USB-C for webcam mode. This wired connection can offer a more stable and consistent experience, especially in professional or long-duration scenarios where a reliable connection is critical.
