Empowering Administrative Support Staff with AI

Welcome to the MDCPS AI Institute Mini-Term (Jun 2024 – Jul 2024)! This program equips administrative professionals with the AI tools and methodologies needed to transform your professional practices and enhance operational efficiency.

Who can participate?

    • District, Regional, and School Site Administrative Professionals from across the district
    • Committed to attending all required sessions

Program Benefits:

    • Foster Innovation: Learn AI tools and strategies to revolutionize your professional practices.
    • Increase Efficiency & Efficacy: Automate tasks and workflows for greater productivity.
    • Earn MDCPS’ AI Fundamentals Micro-Credential: Complete program requirements for official recognition.

Program Structure:

    • Duration:  5 weeks (June 25, 2024 – July 30, 2024)
      Note that no courses will be offered during the week of July 8, 2024 due to Synergy
    • Cohort Size: 500 participants
    • Session Format: Virtual + 1 in-person AI Symposium
    • Requirements for Micro-Credential:
      • 1 Cohort Launch Session
      • 5 AI Learning Sessions (Choice from menu)
      • 1 AI Symposium (Showcase your AI project at the January 2025 Symposium)

AI Learning Sessions:

    • Diverse topics & lengths (20-45 minutes)
    • Job-Embedded scheduling, offered during work hours to ensure all institute participants can complete program requirements.
    • Choose sessions that align with your interests and needs

AI Symposium:

    • One in-person event to showcase your AI-powered learning product
    • Share your innovations with colleagues and district leaders
    • Celebrate your achievements and inspire others

Ready to apply? Here’s how:

1. Submit Your Application:

      • After completing the Cohort Launch Session, you are eligible to apply to the AI Institute.
      • Complete and submit the application online.
      • Please note: Only one application per potential participant is allowed.

2. Attend the Cohort Launch Session:

      • Join us for a virtual Cohort Launch Session on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024, at 4 PM to learn more about the program and application process.
      • This session is mandatory for all potential applicants.  Applicants will be automatically registered for the Launch Session upon submitting their application and will receive a calendar invitation email from Zoom.

3. Selection Process:
