MDCPS AI Institute: Summer Principal Cohort Program Sheet

Empowering Educators and Administrators with AI

Welcome to the MDCPS AI Institute Summer Principal Cohort (Jun 2025 – Jul 2025)! This program equips principals with the AI tools and methodologies needed to transform their practices.

Who can participate?

    • Principals from across the district that are committed to attending all required sessions

Program Benefits:

    • Foster Innovation: Learn AI tools and strategies to revolutionize your school management approach.
    • Increase Efficiency & Efficacy: Automate tasks and workflows for greater productivity.
    • Earn MDCPS’ AI Designation Certificate: Complete program requirements for official recognition.

Program Structure:

    • Duration: 5 weeks months (June 2025 – July 2025)
    • Times: Monday/Wednesday 10:00 AM & 1:00 PM
    • Session Format: Virtual synchronous + 1 in-person AI Symposium (June 2026)
    • Requirements for Certificate:
      • 1 Cohort Launch Session
      • 5 AI Learning Sessions (Choice from menu)
      • 1 AI Symposium (Showcase your AI project – June 2026)

AI Learning Sessions:

    • Diverse topics & lengths (20-45 minutes)
    • Flexible scheduling, offered at various times and days to ensure all institute participants can complete program requirements.
    • Choose sessions that align with your interests and needs

AI Symposium:

    • One in-person event to showcase your AI-powered learning product
    • Share your innovations with colleagues and district leaders
    • Celebrate your achievements and inspire others

Ready to apply? Here’s how:

1. Submit Your Application:

Apply to the AI Institute

2. Attend the Cohort Launch Session:

      • Join us for a virtual Cohort Launch Session on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 10 AM to learn more about the program and application process.
      • This session is mandatory for all participants.  Once accepted, all participants will receive an invitation to join the Google Classroom where they will be able to join the session via Google Meet.  

3. Selection Process:

      • All principals will be approved.
